Clever photographer Julia Christe captured a range of dogs flying through the air in the most awesome poses. The German-based dog-lover arranged for the (off camera) dog owners to let go of their pooches from a low height onto a foam mattress. Christe then added a wind machine to give the illusion of height and flight.
This amazingly unique photoshoot, called Freestyle, is the result of one hundred dogs attending her Berlin studio. Dogs photographed included Chinese Crested, Boxers, Bearded Collies, and Afghan Hounds.
Here’s a selection of some of our personal favourites:
Christe commented: “Some people think we have used a trampoline or thrown the dogs from a great height … and that is the reason they look so surprised. However, absolutely none of that is true! The dogs are dropped from the minimum height onto a thick foam mat. … Some of the dogs had so much fun, we were even able to repeat the jumps. The expression on their faces mostly reflects the surprise of the first flight, and in most cases the first jump provided the best pictures.”
Whether the dogs have long or short hair, the results are quite clearly spectacular!
