We were super lucky to have Marc Abraham visit DogBuddy HQ to talk to us about puppy farming and Pup Aid this year (if you haven’t seen our previous post all about puppy farming and the history of Pup Aid head on over here). The work Marc does to raise awareness is truly amazing, and it never fails to shock us how quickly this problem’s growing across Europe.
We’re huge supporters of Marc’s cause, so the least we could do to show our support on raising awareness was to attend Pup Aid, held annually in Primrose Hill. A fab day was had by all, during which, DogBuddy’s very own CEO, Richard Setterwall, judged the ‘Best Rescue Dog’ show. The rest of the DogBuddy team had so much fun with a doggy paddling pool and ball pit!
It turned out the celebs in attendance couldn’t get enough of the doggy ball pit either, as we had visits from Countdown’s Rachel Riley, Strictly Come Dancing’s Pasha Kovalev, Meg Matthews, S Club 7’s Jo O’Meara, Big Brother’s Nick and Harry, TOWIE’s Kirk Norcross, Michelle Collins and Anna Richardson. Phew!
It was great chatting to everyone on other stands, and learning what other companies such as Dogs Trust, Battersea Dogs and Cats Home, Wood Green Animal Shelter, The Mayhew, Sash-Tag, K-9 Angels, Adopt a Doggy, Village Vet, Oli Juste, Pooch & Mutt, Diet’ Dog, Edumal.tv and (believe it or not!) the Cats Protection League all do to show their support. We’re really looking forward to seeing you all next year!
Below are some of our favourite moments from the day in pictures. Disclaimer: there’s a lot of super cute images, so find a nice cosy corner, pour yourself a cuppa and enjoy:
If you couldn’t attend the event there are still many ways you can show your support. Share this with your friends and family by clicking the social links and check out the end of this blog post for other ways you can still show your support against puppy farming.
Have you unknowingly purchased your dog from a puppy farm? Let us know your experiences in the comments below and let’s all work together to stop it.
