We’re always on the lookout for new products to test out on all the office pups we have visiting our HQ. So, when we saw these three dog grooming goodies in the Animology range we simply had to give them a go!
Regular professional dog grooming can get a little expensive, which is why we love anything we can DIY between visits to the grooming parlour.
The dog grooming products:
Animology Puppy Fresh
Puppy Fresh is a no-rinse shampoo gentle enough to use on puppies from six weeks of age.
Puppy Fresh has been developed to contain vitamins and conditioners to help keep your puppy’s coat in tip-top condition.
We tested it out on twelve week-old puppy Hooley – a known wriggler – and she seemed to really enjoy the experience.
The spray nozzle is really well designed and disperses the product gently, so Hooley didn’t freak out from it.
A nice little touch we thought was super-cute was that it has a baby soft puff-powder scent. Think Johnson’s Baby Powder.
How to use it
Spray it evenly onto your puppy’s coat, groom through with a brush and leave it in (much like you would with a leave-in conditioner).
What’s in it?
Aqua, Isopropyl Alcohol, Benzalkonium Chloride, PEG-7 Glyceryl Cocoate, Zinc Ricinoleate, Didecyl Dimethyl Ammonium Chloride, Parfum, Sodium Lauryl Sarcosinate, Tetrasodium EDTA, Panthenol, Tetrahydroxypropyl Ethylenediamine, Benzyl Alcohol, Magnesium Nitrate, Methylchloroisothiazolinone, Magnesium Chloride, Methylisothiazolinone, Coumarin, Citronellol, Linalool, Geraniol, Amyl Cinnamal, Benzyl Salicylate.
Animology Knot Sure
If your pup has medium-long hair and needs grooming at least twice weekly then you need some Knot Sure in your life!
This dog grooming product is just the ticket for matted mutts. Used regularly over time, it improves the overall condition of your dog’s coat and helps prevent future matting.
When we tested it, it left Hooley’s coat super-soft (we didn’t think it could get any softer!) with a nice, healthy glisten to it.
While we prefer the scent of the Puppy Fresh product, this scent is still pleasant, smelling more like a high-end hair conditioner us humans would use.
How to use it
Spray onto your dog’s coat, groom through with a brush and leave it in (much like you would with a leave-in conditioner).

Animology Paws & Relax
We love a multi-tasker. Anything that can clean, refresh, condition, calm and reduce odour is a winner in our eyes.
Enter Paws & Relax. The aromatherapy oils used in this include lavender and chamomile – perfect for pups who need a bit of refreshing, yet suffer from a little anxiety or need calming down.

We also recommend you spritz some on your dog’s bed during times of anxiety and stress or after a bath.

Animology
The pack at Animology have some really innovative dog grooming products available.
We really like that the products are kind to pups, the bottles look nice and packaging is sturdy.
Another bonus for us are the product names. They’re awesome – Dirty Dawg, Hair of the Dog or Stink Bomb, anyone?
Head on over to their website and show this UK-based company some support.
