Last week we asked you to join us as we celebrated the unconditional love of dogs, by posting a photo showing your relationship with your pooch on the DogBuddy Facebook page. For every photo shared we donated £1 to the RSPCA, lending a helping paw to give all dogs the love they deserve.
Here’s a selection of our favourites from the week. This is what you call #DogBuddyLove.
1. Love is being right by your side
Maxine and Denzel love having selfies together. Denzel has really mastered the natural, ‘stare into the distance pose’.
2. Love is romantic walks along the beach
We just couldn’t resist this photo of Finlay chasing seagulls along the beach in Dorset. Luckily the seagulls always get away!
3. Because I have a brother, I’ll always have a friend
Kirsty shared this photo of Bagel and Boo, the beagle brothers, who love nothing more than snuggling up together. Double the puppy love!
4. Every dog deserves to be loved
Max had a rough beginning but has been given a second chance by Emily. She says, “he took to me straight away and has been my shadow ever since”.
5. No matter where they’ve come from
This story from Diana touched our hearts. This gorgeous pup was found in a shelter in Spain before finding his loving home. As Diana says “he just wanted love… lots of love…”
6. I promise I’ll always be the friend you need
Danielle and Dingo are the best of buds, and there really is no love without friendship.
7. Love can be found down the local pub
As you know, we’re big fans of dog-friendly pubs here at DogBuddy. So we loved this photo of Tolly and his four-legged friends enjoying a watering hole that caters to its canine customers.
8. But true love is found through DogBuddy
It was love at first sight when Niki and Quito, a 2 month old Cockapoo, met. Quito’s mum books daycare with Niki through DogBuddy – looks like a match made in heaven!
9. Your first love will always have a special place in your heart
Bertie and Scrumpet’s love started young… but we’re sure it will last forever.
10. And remember, love knows no boundaries
Meet Ivor, he was adopted from the RSPCA in December and refused to go for walkies. Ellie, his new owner says “He is deaf so we have signs for him. When he gets the sign for walkies he gets so excited now! He is the best buddy for our family!” We love a happy ending.
So there we have it, proof there really is no love greater than the love between us humans and our furry friends. Thank you to everyone who shared their photos and helped us donate to our friends at the RSPCA. You can check out all the photos shared on our Facebook and Instagram with the hashtag #DogBuddyLove.
