The DogBuddy mobile apps recently got a shiny brand new feature and we’re here to tell you all about it. (Drumroll, please!) It’s called Walkies. Can you guess what this feature is for? If you guessed something along the lines of “Walkies allows DogBuddy dog sitters to track dog walks and send dog owners an update when they’ve taken their dog for a walk” – you’d be exactly right!
As a dog owner, it’s understandable to want peace of mind while your dogs are being looked after by a dog sitter. Do you want to be sure that your DogBuddy dog sitter is giving your dog the right amount of exercise? With the Walkies feature your sitter can send you a tracked walk using the DogBuddy mobile app (which is available for Android and iPhone).
It’s simple to track a walk - all you need to do is request a Walkies from your dog sitter during an active booking. Why not share this article with your dog sitter to let them know how it’s done. (They’ll need to tap on the ‘sitter’ tab above to see the step-by-step instructions.)
Using the Walkies feature on the DogBuddy apps, you can easily reassure owners that their dogs are safe and being well looked after by sharing the walks you take with their dog. Walkies makes it simple to let a dog owner how much exercise their dog has been getting. While a DogBuddy booking is in progress, you can track a walk by following these steps :
- Open the app and tap on ‘Walk Tracker’ from the menu
- Tap ‘Start walk’
- Choose the dog(s) you’re walking
- Tap ‘Finish Walk’ when you’re done
- Share the map route of your walk with the dog’s owner
