We’re always reading and learning about dog content. If you’re like us, you probably can’t get enough of amazing dog stories, breed profiles, news and facts either. Although some may find it a little odd for us to promote other dog bloggers (hell, we just love reading about dogs from everywhere, y’know?!), there are some that really stand out and deserve to be shared with our awesome dog-loving community.
We hope you enjoy reading these dog bloggers as much as we do – check them out and show them some DogBuddy community love!
Our Favourite Dog Bloggers
You Did What With Your Wiener?
This amazing blog is definitely the discovery of the year for us. “You Did What With Your Wiener?” chronicles the many adventures of Chester and Gretel, two adorable Dachshunds living in Seattle. Follow them as they climb mountains, go snowshoeing, kayaking and more. Their human, Jessica, also talks about pet travel tips, her experience traveling with dogs and reviews of dog hiking products.
We guarantee that you’ll fall in love with Chester and Gretel. Jessica’s stunning outdoors imagery will make you wish you were hanging out with her instead of traveling on your commute/ at your office desk. We also love her featured guest ‘Adventureweiners‘ of other Doxies invited on the blog to share their adventures.
Kol’s Notes
We *love* dog DIY ideas and homemade dog treat recipes. In our opinion, Kol’s Notes is the blog to follow for the very best DIY dog ideas and tutorials. This dog blogger, Jodi Chick, is so creative, you won’t even believe the things she invents. Jodi also compiles great ideas from other dog bloggers too. You’ll not only find awesome treat recipes and DIY tutorials for dog accessories, but also fun DIY gift ideas, training and home decor projects for dog lovers!
You’ll never have a boring Sunday again once you start following this blog! If you’re feeling extra creative and devise your own DIY dog project, you can submit it and Kolchak – the adorable Puggle himself might even publish it to the blog.
Tales and Tails
The beautiful Greyhounds and German Shepherds who star in the hilarious and inspirational Tales and Tails will have you scrolling through their blog for hours. Written in diary-entry style, this blog talks about the lives and antics of a whole pack of hounds in the funniest way possible. The imagery is beautiful and the dog blogger Houndstooth isn’t afraid to tackle serious issues in the dog world.
Get ready to fall in love with Bunny (certified therapy dog), Flattery (therapy dog in training), Küster (a search and rescue dog), Morgan and the rest of the gang! You’ll find yourself impatiently waiting for the next post every single day (that’s right, they post daily!).
The Vagabond Adventures
Get ready to go on an incredible journey! When this extraordinary team of two humans (Lucie and Lachlan) and their dog (Bow Wow) write about their travels, you’re fully immersed in their experiences as they they take you along with them. Serious explorers, this trio journey around Africa and talk about the people they meet, the traditions and cultures they discover, and much more. They found their pup Bow Wow abandoned in Cape Town, South Africa, when he was just two weeks old. He goes everywhere with them, and it’s simply awesome.
The photography work on this blog is breathtaking and the stories genuine and moving. If you love to learn about other countries and their traditions, you will definitely want to follow The Vagabond Adventures.
Susie’s Senior Dogs
You may already be familiar with celbri-pup Susie, best known for her Facebook page. This dog blogger fights to promote the adoption of senior dogs in need, and you’ll find these rehoming stories on her blog, Susie’s Senior Dogs. These incredibly well-written posts often bring tears (of happiness) to our eyes. We guarantee you won’t be able to read these stories without shedding a tear or three.
Susie’s posts are not only heartwarming, they are also important to show that senior dogs also make amazing pets. Promoting the adoption of older pups can help so many people realise that it may just be the right option for them.
