Wes Anderson, the movie maker who brought us the animated adaption of Roald Dahl’s Fantastic Mr Fox, has released the first trailer for his new movie, Isle of Dogs. Watch the trailer above! We first learned about the upcoming film when Wes personally announced it in a humorous video back in December 2016.
Back then, we knew relatively little about this new movie. We knew that it would be shot in England and would feature a roster of voice talents including (and not forgetting!) Edward Norton. We also knew it would be animated, just like Fantastic Mr Fox, and we knew the name of one canine character, Rex (voiced by Edward Norton).
Now that the trailer’s been released we know the futuristic movie will feature a whole gang of canine characters, who’ve been quarantined on Trash Island to stem an outbreak of dog flu in the Japanese city of Megasaki. The pack of pooches encounter Atari, a twelve year old boy who’s made the perilous journey to the quarantine zone in search of his dog, Spots, and agree to help him in his quest.
We’re excited for what looks like a fun and pooch-tastic movie – we’ve got quite a wait though – the film won’t reach UK cinemas until the end of March 2018!
