The fourth PugFest (a meet-up for the trendiest pugs in the UK), was held this month in Cardiff at the Action Petz indoor dog park.
Rob Clowes, the mastermind behind this awesome event, initially launched it in 2014 in memory of his rescue pug, Poppy. This year, over two thousand pugs and pug-lovers gathered for PugFest to help raise money for Jemima’s Place Animal Trust.
The event isn’t just for pug owners to parade their little fellas around, it also includes activities such as a dog show, an agility course (pug size, of course), craft stalls, shops, and a bouncy castle.
We can’t recommend this event enough! It’s super-fun for both pug and owner. The next PugFest meet-up will be on the 13th of September 2015 at YMCA Plymouth. Start working on your dog’s costume now though – the theme’s ‘Pirates and Princesses’! DogBuddy’s very own Ramón Zepug can’t wait to join the next Pugfest meetup…
… shame he’s got the wrong costume for it…!
With the UK Pug community is growing quickly, and events such as this one are becoming increasingly popular. Other pug events include The London Pugs meetup, The Brighton Pug meetup, Pug Pride of Liverpool and many more. You can find events near you by joining communities such as the Pug World and Pug Dog Club.
