A well-known good-natured dog with high energy levels! They are intelligent and remember training easily. This can mean that their habits are hard to break and can be known for their stubbornness.

9. Vizsla
They are very loyal and quiet; only usually barking when provoked. They form very close bonds with children, but are prone to suffer from separation anxiety.

8. Boxer

5. Collie
An incredibly loyal dog, the Collie is also super intelligent (think T.V. show Lassie). They shed a fair amount and require regular grooming. Don’t be alarmed if a Collie dog tries to herd your children – they have a strong working instinct!
4. Golden Retriever
The Golden Retriever is a very family-orientated dog and are very friendly to all. They shed a lot of hair and require daily grooming otherwise they will have a distinct doggy smell!

3. Newfoundland
These giants are calm and usually relatively quiet. They are known for their gentle, tactile nature and will often sit on your feet or lap! Newfoundlands shed a lot of hair and drool, males are known for their stubbornness.

Labrador Retrievers are a very cheerful and fun dog. They are athletic and love long walks. Be aware that they take a long time to mature, often up to several years, and can prove hard to train as a result of their puppy ways.

Whether you think they’re ugly or cute, the bulldog is often regarded as a perfect family pet. They are strong and can take a lot of rough-and-tumble play from toddlers! They are a quiet, courageous breed that respond well to persistent training. They love to sleep and only need short walks, however, they are incredibly stubborn and won’t do anything they don’t want to!
