To help raise awareness of #nationaldogday the pack at rehoming charity Dogs Trust launched a brand new dog emoji keyboard. We kid you not, it’s an emoji keyboard of dogs.
In their announcement, Dogs Trust chose twenty three of the UK’s most popular dog breeds, all based on real dogs in their centres across the UK and Ireland, to feature in emoji form furever.
First row l-r: Jack Russell Terrier, Labrador, Border Collie, Crossbreed, Yorkshire Terrier
Second row l-r: German Shepherd, Bichon Frise, Beagle, Greyhound, Dalmatian
Third row l-r: Chihuahua, Pug, Staffordshire Bull Terrier, Cocker Spaniel, Shih Tzu
Fourth row l-r: English Sheepdog, Shar Pei, Boxer, French Bulldog, Rottweiler
Fifth row l-r: Great Dane, Husky, Dachshund
You can get the dog emoji keyboard on both iOS and Android in both the iTunes App and Google Play stores. As we found when we downloaded the app here at DogBuddy HQ, remember to allow the app to have ‘full access’ to your phone so you can add it to your keyboard options. Full details on how to download are here.
With an 84% rise in three years of the number of dogs needing rehoming, we can’t encourage responsible dog ownership enough. If you’re looking to get one of the breeds in the new emoji keyboard, we’ve listed their basic characteristics here for you. You’re welcome.
