This week in the Scoop – sneaky doggy cuddler gets his comeuppance, Narcos gets a tail wagging makeover and we review the latest wedding trends.
Sneaky dog cuddler gets a pup to call his own
Remember the tail (ahem) about the boy who was caught on video sneaking into a neighbour’s garage to cuddle their dog? We covered this story back in mid-June and you can read more about it here.
The story took a new, adorable twist this week when Josh’s family adopted a Black Lab puppy called Drake from a family who were no longer able to look after him – *sigh* we love a happy ending! Get the full story in the video above.
Barkos
A clever human put on his thinking hat and set himself the challenge of recreating the credit roll introduction of Netflix hit series Narcos… with dogs!
On his YouTube channel, Jeremy writes, “Narcos has a great intro, and I wanted to see if I could pull off something similar. I made Barkos as an attempt to recreate the effects and vibe of the original, shot-for-shot, but with dogs. [It’s] created using a combination of found-footage and animated still images”.
While we obviously can’t condone the heavy-handed methods of doggy drug kingpins, like barking at the rival cartels or stacking up piles a stash of bones, there really are some delightfully amusing moments in this doggy parody video, which makes several references to the original, too.
Not a bouquet in sight
The latest wedding trend of 2016 is here, and it’s not some weird fashion vogue like or saying your vows backward whilst bungee jumping from a helicopter. Nope, it’s better – puppies! Hold onto your socks – it gets even better than that, couples like Matt and Sarah – pictured above, are choosing to support rescue pups rather than spending £££ on flowers that will only last a few days.
Formal photographs can tricky, as the feeling of occasion couples and their bridal parties don’t know what to do with their hands; behind their backs, in front, at the side… which is where bouquets of flowers can help. And puppies are proving to be a brilliant alternative. Not only do they bring out everyone’s best natural smile, but helps to highlight puppy adoption – all the pups that Matt and Sarah invited along for their wedding snaps are currently up for adoption, so we’re hoping they all find a forever-home really soon.
