With the recent release of Mike&Scrabble A guide to owning your new Human, dog lovers across the globe will no doubt become ever more familiar with Mike’s charming illustrations of life from Scrabble’s perspective.
In September we launched the Dog-Friendly Pub Awards (there’s still time to cast your vote!) and Mike was kind enough to share some of Scrabble’s pub related insights with us, which we now share with you.
That’s some good advice. Unless your pooch is jowls deep in a bowl of special ‘dog beer’ it’s important to keep his snout out of alcoholic beverages. We once knew a boxer dog called Tyson who found his way into a collection of aeroplane miniatures and the results were less than ideal.
Dog-friendly pubs are a wonderful place to socialise for humans and dogs alike. Supporting your local dog-friendly local will hopefully encourage even more venues to open their dogs to our fairest furry friends.
Rightly or wrongly, some humans don’t appreciate being pawed after a run around the muddy park. So no matter how adorable your pooch is, best behaviour for both human and pooch is key.
Your favourite dog-friendly pub will not only offer up a thirst-quenching beverage for humans but should be stocked to the rafters with doggy delights. Follow your dog’s nose to the nearest friendly pub and fill up on grub and treats.
