We were lucky enough to spend time with the very awesome Marc Abraham at DogBuddy HQ.
A Veterinary Surgeon from North London, Abraham began his passionate fight against puppy farming in Brighton in 2009. The first PupAid fun dog show was held in Brighton, and Abraham explains he “didn’t really know how many people would turn up”.
Six years on, PupAid has grown tremendously and is now held in the prestigious Royal Park, Primrose Hill. It’s gained a who’s who list of celebrity supporters including Brian May and Ricky Gervais.
Abraham also spends his time lobbying Government; has authored dog care books, launched a mobile app, and is a regular on high profile TV shows such as ITV’s This Morning, BBC Breakfast and the Paul O’ Grady Show.
In this exclusive interview, Abraham talks to us about:
- puppy farming and what we can do to help
- concerns over puppy farm rescue
- questions arising on having enough time to own a dog, and
- home dog boarding
