It’s the last bank holiday of the year (boo!), so of course you want to do something extra special with your pooch! Wherever you are in the UK, we’ve listed all the dog event’s you’ll need to know about on this lovely long weekend:
August Bank Holiday Dog Activities
England’s Medieval Festival
This family and dog-friendly bank holiday event is held at the stunning brick built Tudor castle. Daily activities include stage shows, re-enactments, live music, dancing, magicians, games for children, a medieval marketplace, camping, a banquet, huge dragons (Game of Thrones style) and more! Horses, other animals and children will be at the festival, so your dog must be kept on a lead and be well socialised!

All About Dogs Show
This special event for dogs and dog-lovers isn’t one to be missed!
Activities include Agility trials, dog shows, dog obedience demonstrations and more. Dog experts are on hand to offer training tips and advice, in addition to exhibitors showcasing cool and new dog merchandise. Perfect time to do some shopping for your pup (or a pay day splurge on yourself!)
Children and dogs get in for free and you can buy your tickets on the All About Dogs Show website: allaboutdogsshow.co.uk

Alicia’s Obedience Training Fun Dog Show
Alicia’s Obedience Dog Training, a dog training school in Essex, will be holding their annual Fun Dog Show at the Essex Wildlife Trust Nature Park. The show is also a charity fundraiser, with donations going to the Wildlife Trust, Essex Retired Police Dogs Fund (ERPDF), Noah’s Big Charity and more.
Activities include dog training and obedience classes, an obedience course and a small market place with handmade products such as these adorable Lemon Berry soaps.

Fun Canine Murder Mystery Course
This course is held over five solid days learning all about dog behaviour and training techniques. As you’ll be split into teams with your pooch, dog owners of all experience levels are welcome to attend. If you don’t have a dog you can attend as a spectator or helper and still learn a lot.
