Hallowe’en, Birthdays, Christmas, Valentines… we don’t really need another excuse to dress our four-legged friends in silly costumes. Out of all these occasions, you’ve got to admit, Hallowe’en’s the best time of year for it!
Humans spent $1.5 billion on dog clothes and costumes, plus other commodities this year. That’s a 3% increase in spending since 2014, and a whopping 25% increase since 2010!
With an array of weird and wonderful dog costumes available nowadays, you’ll often find you pooch has a better (and scarier) selection than you.
Here are our favourites from this year:
These Hallowe’en Dog Costumes Are Better Than Yours
Pug Vader
We’re super-excited for the December 2015 release of the next film from the epic Star Wars franchise, so we couldn’t think of a better dog to become the evil Sith Lord himself!
James Bond
Another topical dog costume, this little fella likes his Hallowe’en dog treats shaken, not stirred.

50 Shades of Grey
Slightly creepy, yet nonetheless hilarious, Lisa Goodwin’s mum put her creative (and witty) skills to good use! We recommend this for a Greyhound (obvs)!

Game of Bones
This is incredible! We’re huge fans of Game of Thrones at DogBuddy HQ, so are in complete awe of this creation!
Slimer
Released in 2016 with an all-star female cast, we wonder if Ghostbusters will star this little guy as classic ghoul Slimer?

Franken-Rosie
Rosie’s had enough Hallowe’en fun for one year. Party pooper.

We learnt the hard way. Don’t mess with a Pug!
What will your pooch dress up as this year? Don’t forget it can be a stressful time of year for some dogs, so follow these guidelines on staying safe and happy at Hallowe’en.
