Ever since we saw the Buzzfeed article about Reagan, the 1 year-old Labradoodle, and his toddler BFF, we couldn’t stop thinking about how adorable they were together.
A dog dressed in canine couture is darling enough, but paired with a tiny human, in matching clothes? It melts even the iciest of hearts!
Many of our dog sitters have children, and are forever on a mission to recreate this same level of cute in their pictures, so we trawled the interwebs to find the best (and cheapest) ways to dress a dog and child in the same clobber.
1. From sleepwear to streetwear
If you’ve got an outfit in two separates (top and bottoms), dress your child in one half of the separates, and pup in the other half. Printed pyjamas are perfect for this.
2. Sheep thrills
Buy the same jumper, but in different sizes. It doesn’t need to be too fancy – a cheap one from Primark will do!
Spreading Christmas cheer. ?❤️?? #atleastihopethatsallimspreading

3. Mix and patch hues
If you haven’t got the money to buy the exact same garments, choosing clothes with the same colour palette looks super-sleek and stylish.
4. Too clothes for comfort
If your pup and child are completely different sizes, up the comfort-factor by dressing them in dressing gowns or onesies. They are all pretty much one-size-fits-all, so they’ll last longer as your dog and child grow.
Just planning what kind of trouble we can get into right after our naps. ?❤️??

5. Accessor-eyes
Not got the whole outfit? No problem. Just use the same sunglasses and accessories to get the same, adorable effect for a fraction of the price.
6. No sew
It’s really easy to alter any fabric to fit your pooch. You don’t even need to be a dab hand with a needle and thread. The lovely ladies at HGTV and Joselyn Hughes from DIY Dammit show us how to make DIY dog clothes without using a sewing machine.
While some dog owners think this is humanisation (and people) gone mad, believe it or not, some dog breeds actually benefit from wearing extra layers. Breeds such as Greyhounds, Whippets, Chihuahuas and Pugs actually need canine couture because their coats are so thin.
